Dear friends, families and staff in the SAU 16 community,
On Tuesday, March 12, many of you came out to vote on the CMS building project, and you voiced your support for this endeavor with 60.69 percent of the district voting to approve the project.
The CMS renewal project has been on the district’s agenda for the last three years, and we’re beyond thrilled that your support allows us to move forward with design changes and improvements that will benefit students, faculty, and staff for years to come.
I want to commend the CMS Renewal Committee for dedicating so much of their time over the last year, particularly these last few months, to ensure that residents in all of their communities were fully informed of the project scope and goals. Their families are to also be commended, as sacrifices were made in order for all of our families to benefit from their work.
Next week, we’ll begin meeting to lay out next steps for breaking ground this summer. Communication and openness have been paramount in this project, and we will continue to update everyone as we move throughout the construction process.
Thank you all again for your support.
Superintendent David Ryan
