Students, parents, administrators, faculty, and staff representatives contributed information toward formulating a list of building needs based upon academic programming throughout the 2015-2016 school year.
People offered their opinions during informal conversations with CMS administrators as well as scheduled committee meetings, such as: Parent Partnership Committee, Student Advisory Council, CMS Leadership Team, CMS Scheduling Committee, Programming Sub-Committee of the CMS Building Renewal Committee, etc. The gathered information was discussed, categorized and prioritized by the CMS Administrative team. This prioritized list eventually became the heart of the CMS Building Needs Assessment.
The following is an abbreviated list of building needs based upon the information gathered during the CMS Building Needs Assessment process:
- 2 additional team classroom areas (pod areas)
- Larger cafeteria
- Functional music spaces
- Additional gym space
- Additional office and specialized service spaces
- Additional elevator
